Union of States
Dear American Visitor & State Citizen, A few points today, that you should have learned in school, but probably did not? Our 50 state Union geographically, is described as “the united states.” Very soon after the Revolutionary War began in 1776, the 13 rebellious Colonies formed a “Central Government” and declared themselves to be “The Confederacy of the United States of America.” Yes!…..our first constitution was a Confederacy! After the War in 1789, the Colonies realized that they needed a stronger and more definitive constitution, whereupon, during the next two years, they created a formal constitution and twelve Colonies (now all independent nation-states), ratified the new central contract between themselves. The new nation was named America and the central government, under the new Constitution, was formally named in law as: “United States of America.”……period: no “the” word. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is the legal title of the federal government, and/or in Washington D.C. Said federal gov. legally has no jurisdiction whatsoever inside any State; only the Post Office, military bases and federal highways they built. It does however, have jurisdiction over commerce “between the States.” Conversely, the U.S. Senate has total control over the federal government; that’s how our Republic is supposed to function. In other words: UNITED STATES is the fed.gov. united states = states united in our geography. There is no such thing, or no such document as “the constitution of the united states.” However, there is a federal constitution entitled: The constitution FOR (the) UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.” I hope you have now finally learned the truth……in law. God Bless America.
